AWS Free Tier gives you 1 million Lambda requests/month and 25GB of DynamoDB storage forever — not just 12 months. Most ChatMancer deployments stay inside that envelope, which means your effective cost is $0 forever. We provision everything to fit.

Pinecone's Starter plan ships one serverless index free. That's plenty for testing and small-to-mid sites. When you outgrow it, you upgrade Pinecone directly — ChatMancer doesn't intermediate.

Not for ChatMancer. AWS will ask for one to create an account, but you control your own AWS billing alarms and spending caps. You can deploy and use ChatMancer without ever spending a cent.

We ship a CloudWatch dashboard with the deploy. Lambda invocations, DynamoDB reads, API Gateway calls — all visible. Set a billing alarm at $1, $5, $50 — your call.

AWS bills your card directly at standard rates (a few cents per million requests). For most sites, this is well under $5/mo. You'll get an alert long before it matters.

We never see it. Conversations live in your DynamoDB, encrypted at rest with AWS-managed keys (or your KMS keys, your call). ChatMancer cannot read, export, or proxy your data — full stop.

Yes. Delete the CloudFormation stack and everything goes. Your data is yours; export it from DynamoDB beforehand if you want to keep it. No exit fees, no retention period.
